Chabad Hebrew School |
Inspiring Jewish Pride and Identity in Jewish Children - the future of Judaism. |
My name is Leah Kurinsky, I grew up in Brooklyn, NY & graduated Beth Rivkah Teachers Seminary in 2001 with degrees in Judaic Studies & Education. I am the proud mom of six wonderful children and Co-direct Chabad at the Beaches with my incredible husband Rabbi Nochum Kurinsky.
My love for bringing joy to children through Jewish education started as a teenager working or directing camps in Coconut Grove, Buffalo, W. Hartford, England, Estonia, St. Petersburg and Brazil. My passion for Hebrew School began when I directed the Hebrew School in Chabad of Mid-Suffolk until moving to Ponte Vedra in December of 2003 to open Chabad at the Beaches.
I am passionate about joyful Jewish education. I love to encourage teaching in such a manner that kids are enjoying themselves so much they don't even realize how much they are learning! Watching the kids walk into Hebrew School with a bounce in their step and a sparkle in their eye is one of the things I'm most proud of at the Beaches Hebrew School.
